Olive Oil Taste Test. | Fran Berger

Have you ever been to an olive oil tasting? I highly recommend it! I learned while visiting Sicily that olive oil should be tasted with a spoon (and definitely not with bread) so that you actually taste the oil without other flavors competing. I really enjoyed all of these Italian (@badia_coltibuono); Spanish (@oleoestepa_esp) and Greek (Fotis & Son) oils. Set up your own tasting. Grab a few bottles of EVOO from different countries – but make sure to read the labels so that you know the oils were made from olives grown and harvested in that country and actually pressed and bottled in that country too! The oils will taste totally different depending on the type of olives and where they were grown.
